I will soon place a folder of images from a trip to the Northern Territory in Australia. This photo is of the lotus lily flower, truly beautiful, the area in the billabong this was taken will be full of them shortly.
_MG_1608.jpg This beautiful old building, now an art gallery and museum in Fremantle, looked all the more majestic with its contrast against the blue sky. I was using a circular polarizer, which I experimented with a great deal in Australia due to the extremely bright sunlight.

_MG_1671.jpg The photographer taking the photographer. A chance shot captured from the back of a boat on Perths Swan estuary. I wonder if the reverse photograph has been published anywhere?

_MG_1623.jpg Where do I start with my Australia photographs. There are so many. I took several of the tree and bench and this turned out the best, for the size of the tree dwarfing the bench, the emptiness of the bench, with the big city skyline in the distance, but also for somewhere you can escape to for a bit of peace.

I wanted to achieve a more extreme angle on this photograph to give it more height as if up in the canopy so to speak, however still think it gives a precarious look to the balance of the tree house.

Theres just something about the light catching on this pine trees needles and almost look as if they are not attached to the tree, but just sitting in random shapes in front of it.
Someone said this photograph looked a bit like the red arrows as the butterfly landed on the flower and opened its wings at just the right moment, almost symetrically upside down, off the flower tip.
had in the early morning light and prefer the cropped version for the silhouette of the single horse. Although the lens flare on both is fine.
_IMG_0237.jpg I liked this photo for the way the light caught on the lurchers coat and the shape the shadows gave the overall composition.
